Uzo Njoku and I spoke about collaborating, and the perfect opportunity presented itself for her first solo exhibition in New York.

Her vision was to imprint her art on a bag, and I wanted to create a structured shape that would beautifully show off her pattern and design. It was a first for both of us in every sense, for me the entire process of collaborating and creating something new with another artist was very interesting.

The bag is constructed from full-grain cow leather, suede-lined, using a mixture of steel and brass hardware. All remaining off-cuts and waste leather was used to cardholders.
